Roly Poly
Ukraine is already in its eighth month of war. Despite the severity of wartime, the work of artists in our country has never stopped. In addition, Art Mag has created a new masterpiece of contemporary art, the first design figure in Ukraine - Roly Poly figurine.

The piece of amazing design symbolizes the unbreakable spirit and power of the Ukrainian army. The figurine is a symbol of the Ukrainian soldier who always gets up and never falls, no matter how strong your push on it. The item is made of vinyl and hand-painted. Its height is 15 cm, width 12 cm.

The Art Mag designed this piece of art as a symbol of valor of Ukrainian army against a cruel enemy. Thus, the idea is to inspire all people of the country for the fight with the invader until the victory. This figurine of a cheerful Ukrainian soldier might instill in people faith and hope for a speedy return to normal life.
Here is a brief history of the creation of this figurine by its creator, Art Mag. In the first days of the war, I was in Kharkiv, which was heavily bombed and shelled every day. In early March, Ukrainian troops at the front pushed back the invaders for the first time since the war. This historical turning point in the war gave me the idea to create a unique contemporary art about the invincibility and resilience of Ukrainian soldiers.

The idea of creating the Ukrainian Soldier Roli-Poly did not come to me immediately. For a long time I could not understand how to translate this idea into reality in a non-standard and bright way. While studying the history of sculpture, I came across an article about ancient Japanese dolls that bring happiness to their owner. Their names are Okiagari-Koboshi and Daruma. The self-healing characteristic of these Japanese dolls has come to symbolize the ability to succeed, overcome adversity, and bounce back from setbacks.
I wanted to create an exclusive work that no one had done before in Europe. After that, I made a sketch of a non-standard, asymmetrical, complex figure of the Role-Poly Ukrainian Soldier.

At first glance, it seems that the figure of the Ukrainian Soldier Roly-poly is an easy-to-make designer toy, but this is a misleading opinion. It took a lot of time and estimates to calculate accurately its equilibrium and energy gravitational potential. These difficulties in manufacturing arose because in my model there are no simple and symmetrical forms as on standard Roly-poly figures. It took 18 times I had to reshape the lower part of my figure, as it constantly functioned poorly. After many unsuccessful attempts, I decided to involve of engineers to help me make a working model. Finally, it was the right decision. These design engineers found the right technical solution to make my Roly-poly work perfectly. The result was the release for the first time in Ukraine of a limited collection of contemporary art, designed in the form of Roly-poly of Ukrainian soldiers available for collections.

I hope that this piece of art might attract happiness, prosperity and good luck to their owners.
Symbolism
Art Magus had been fond of creating various sculptures of people and animals from clay, plasticine and various iron wires since childhood. In children's sculpture competitions, Art Mag always won.

Art Mag creates sculptures in gold, silver, jewelry bronze and vinyl.

My sculptures are created in the style of Surrealism and in the genre of Symbolism.

Creating each of my sculptures requires a great deal of intellectual input and creative thinking on my part.

All Art Mag's sculptures are close in spirit to the works of the Great Sculptors of the 20th century - Auguste Rodin, Salvador Dali, Mikhail Shemyakin,
Arnaud Brecker, and
Frederic Auguste Bartholdi.

Art Mag's gold and silver sculptures are of interest to professional art and jewelry investors.
